Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a plastic's Fabricator with experience in working with Plastic materials.

This could be ideal for someone with lots of experience and looking to progress into a team leader role.

To work with in a small team, in the plastic's fabrication department, manufacturing and installing a variety of plastic bespoke items to our client's specifications. To carry out work at our premises, on various sites, locally and nationally. Ensure maintenance of tools and equipment compliance with Health and Safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Design fabrication solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the sales department on feasibility, timing and delivery of the fabricated items.
  • Manufacture plastic products to agreed specification and deadlines.
  • Maintain records of drawings and specification details of items supplied to customers.
  • Maintain and develop a stock of fabrication samples to provide to customers.
  • Propose and develop improvements in fabrication methods.
  • Plan and monitor jobs/workload to ensure maximum efficiencies and utilisation of personnel.
  • Ensure quality of products is monitored and processes in place to detect and correct quality issues before despatch to customers.
  • To attend various manufacturing and processing sites locally and with in the UK.
  • Ensure Health and Safety policies are adhered to and to be proactive regarding Health and Safety.
  • Ensure equipment and tools are maintained on a regular basis and ensure they are fit for purpose. Ensure comply with Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Co-ordinate with the Fabrication Manager regarding staff management to include planning, holiday cover, appraisals and motivation. Promote team working and communication.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duty as requested by the company.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in plastic fabrication.
  • To be able to read engineering drawings and understand P&ID, & isometrics.
  • Basic knowledge in fabricating polypropylene piping systems using up-to-date fusion technology.
  • Experience in communication with clients on site and being able to react positively to their demands.
  • Basic knowledge in manufacturing and assembling steel supports for pipe systems.
  • Proactive with good communication skills.
  • Organised with high attention to detail.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • Must have drivers licence.

Standard Hours of work:

Monday-Thursday 07.30am - 16.00pm, Friday 07.30am - 13.30pm

Additional hours / overtime will be required to help meet business demands.
