We have a fantastic opportunity for a trainee plastic's Fabricator to work within a small team working with Plastic materials where they can grow and learn the necessary skills required to become a plastics fabricator.

This could be ideal for someone with no or very basic experience and looking to progress into the plastic's industry.

To work with in a small team, in the plastic's fabrication department, assisting in manufacturing and installing a variety of plastic bespoke items to our client's specification. To carry out assisting/work at our premises, on various sites, locally and nationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior fabricator in manufacture plastic products to agreed specification and deadlines.
  • Develop plastic sheet fabricating techniques using hand welding and extrusion equipment.
  • Develop plastic pipe fabricating techniques using up-to-date fusion equipments.
  • Ensure quality of products is monitored and follow processes to detect and correct quality issues before despatch to customer.
  • To attend with senior fabricators various manufacturing and processing sites locally and with in the UK.
  • Ensure equipment and tools are maintained on a regular basis and ensure they are cleaned and fit for purpose.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duty as requested by the company.
  • To take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and of other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • You may also be asked to perform other duties occasionally which are not included above, but which will be consistent with the role.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent punctuality and time keeping.
  • To be able to carry out basic instructions.
  • Basic knowledge in manufacturing.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated.
  • Flexible attitude with the ability to learn and work quickly and retain information.
  • Organised with high attention to detail.
  • Must have drivers licence.

Standard Hours of work:

Monday - Thursday 07.30am - 16.00pm, Friday 07.30am - 13.30pm

Additional hours / overtime will be required to help meet the business demands.
